How We Are Governed
General Body
All 2,500+ members form the supreme governing authority. Meets annually (AGBM) before 30 September. Elects the board and approves major decisions.

Sri Ramesh B. Naidu
A retired government school principal with 32 years of experience in primary and secondary education. Sri Naidu has been a member since 2005 and has led the society as President since 2022, driving our expansion to 45 villages.
Smt. Lakshmi Devi K.
A highly respected commerce lecturer, Smt. Lakshmi Devi brings 25 years of academic expertise to the board. She championed our vocational training program and leads our women's education initiatives.
Sri Manjunath S. Gowda
A former District Education Officer who oversaw government school administration across Bengaluru Rural district. Sri Gowda manages our day-to-day administration, correspondence, and regulatory filings with exceptional expertise.
Sri Vijayakumar R. Shetty
A practicing Chartered Accountant with 20 years of experience in cooperative finance and audit. Sri Shetty ensures our financial management meets the highest standards of transparency and accountability.
Smt. Padmavathi H. Rao
A dedicated Kannada medium school headmistress committed to Kannada education and rural development. Smt. Padmavathi leads our adult literacy programs in rural talukas.
Sri Basavaraja N. Patil
A retired Agriculture Officer representing our rural member base. Sri Patil has been instrumental in expanding our programs to agricultural communities and establishing our Tumkur branch.
Smt. Sumitra G. Joshi
A prominent social worker and women's rights activist who has worked in Bengaluru's slum communities for over 15 years. She leads our women's empowerment and self-help group programs.
Sri Pradeep K. Acharya
A senior IT professional who donated the initial 50 computers for our digital literacy center. Sri Pradeep spearheads our digital transformation and e-learning initiatives.
Smt. Anitha R. Murthy
A passionate primary school teacher representing the younger generation of educator-members. Smt. Anitha leads our Foundational Literacy and Numeracy programs and connects us with the state's Samagra Shiksha initiatives.
Our Committees
Education & Scholarship Committee
Administers all scholarship programs, vocational training, digital literacy, and adult education. Reviews scholarship applications, conducts interviews for higher-education scholarships, and oversees our training center operations.
Finance & Audit Committee
Oversees all financial planning, budgeting, and accounting. Liaises with the statutory auditor, prepares financial statements for the Annual General Body, and ensures compliance with the Karnataka Souharda Sahakari Act.
Member Welfare Committee
Handles member services, Common Good Fund applications, grievance redressal, and welfare schemes. Organizes member meets and community outreach programs.
Program & Events Committee
Plans and organizes all society events including Annual Day, Cooperative Week, scholarship award ceremonies, workshops, and cultural programs. Manages our newsletter and communications.
Building & Infrastructure Committee
Manages all physical assets of the society including our registered office, training center, and digital literacy center. Oversees maintenance, renovation, and expansion of facilities.
Profit Distribution (as per bylaws)
As required under the Karnataka Souharda Sahakari Act, 1997, our net profits are distributed as follows:
For unforeseen losses and contingencies
Remitted to Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative
Community welfare and social programs
Distributed as dividend on share capital (up to 15%)
